Brush and floss thoroughly before your appointment (avoid whitening toothpaste that may cause sensitivity).
Avoid food/drinks that stain: coffee, red wine, berries, sauces, etc. for at least 24 hours before.
Stay hydrated and avoid smoking prior to your session.
If you've had a dental clean recently, wait 24–48 hours before whitening.
Skip lipstick and heavy makeup around the mouth area on the day.

Immediately after your treatment, your teeth are more porous and prone to staining. Follow these guidelines for best results and minimal sensitivity:
Avoid coloured foods and drinks for 24–48 hours. Stick to the “white diet” – rice, chicken, potatoes, milk, bananas, etc.
No smoking, coffee, tea, red wine, or dark sauces for at least 48 hours.
Avoid hot or cold food and drinks if you experience sensitivity.
Use sensitive toothpaste (e.g., Sensodyne) if any discomfort occurs.
Drink plenty of water to stay hydrated and flush away potential stains.
Do not brush your teeth for 4–6 hours after your treatment to let enamel settle.
Apply remineralising gel as directed (if provided) to reduce sensitivity and protect your enamel.
